Quagmire? Not Hardly! - Part 2
I posted an image recently comparing U.S. casualities from WW II to the present. Here's one with a little more detail.

Is the War really worth it? How many more lives of our sons, husbands, fathers, daughters, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, and love ones do we need to lose forever? I find that people who support this occupation and war will not face the fact what a terrible mistake Our President and VP Cheney has gotten us in. We need leadership in this country so bad. Please help raise the level of discussion and debate to make sure United States leads and does the right thing.

BS Bob:"Is the War really worth it?"

RF:No war is ever "worth it" to the spineless appeasers who live under the shelter of freedom's branches but lack the courage to water it's roots.

BS Bob:How many more lives of our sons, husbands, fathers, daughters, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, and love ones do we need to lose forever?

RF: As many as it takes to achieve victory and eliminate the threat to our country and preserve our posterity's safety. And as one of those who has taken the oath to defend this nation I am qualified to answer.

BS Bob: I find that people who support this occupation and war will not face the fact what a terrible mistake Our President and VP Cheney has gotten us in. We need leadership in this country so bad.

RF: We have leadership. What we need is less people like you who refuse to accept the cost of the liberty you take for granted.

BS Bob: Please help raise the level of discussion and debate to make sure United States leads and does the right thing.

RF: Now that sounds ironic coming from an appeasement lefty. You will have to get yourselves out of the "hate-America" gutter before you can even see the level of debate, much less raise it.

BS Bob,

You said:

"I find that people who support this occupation and war will not face the fact what a terrible mistake Our President and VP Cheney has gotten us in."

What mistake? We haven't had a terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11. And that is no accident.

Obviously, the Bush administration has done an excellent job of ensuring that our fight with the terrorists remains on their soil and not on ours.

It is much better to fight those "hot heads" on their turf, rather than try to fight them here in the U.S., (talk about "colleteral damage" concerns!).

You said:

"We need leadership in this country so bad. Please help raise the level of discussion and debate to make sure United States leads and does the right thing."

Thank God, we have that leadership. Bush and Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Condoleezza Rice get it, and are heading us in the right direction.

If our country was in the hands of a liberal, democrat administration, we would have tried cowardly appeasement, and deference to the UN, (which would mean 9/11 would be a regular occurence in our daily lives, as we watch American cities and people, one by one be murdered, while we wait for UN's permission to protect ourselves and for our enemy to notice our "appeasing genuflecting" and some how miraculously grant us mercy.)

Talk about your pipe dream.

You began your comment with the question, "Is the war really worth it?"

I would say, most emphatically, hell yeah!

After all, BS Bob, in your home state of Texas, jihadist attacks on you and your neighbors is not a possibility. And that is thanks to Bush and the men and women of the US Armed Forces.

That you would not be grateful of that fact speaks volumes.
