Quran "abuse" Detailed The Pentagon has released details about so-called "abuse" and "mishandling" of the Quran by guards and interrogators at Guantanamo.

An interesting fact: In reviewing thousands of pages of records, only nine alleged instances of "mishandling" were credible enough for review. Of those nine only five cases could be confirmed. It appears that in those five cases the US personnel responsible were disciplined.

What is truly telling is this: The investigation found 15 cases of detainees mishandling their own Qurans! That's right, these "devout" Muslims, (who are being held in the hopes they will yield valuable intelligence about Al Qaeda, the terrorist group which on September 11, 2001 brutally murdered more than 3,000 innocent people) have less respect for their "holy" book than we do. According to Brigadier General Jay Hood, the commander at the detention center, inmates used the Quran as a pillow, ripped pages out of the Quran, attempted to flush a Quran down the toilet and urinated on the Quran.
